Don’t let me down

Sang the Lennon man

How those words ring true

For every girl and lad

But never so much more

Right down to the core

Relationships a chore

Always work out the deets

When lies are to the fore

Honesty she seeks

Freedom now reeks

Havoc on us all

So what’s in store

Wait for someone else to take the reigns

Then who knows what tomorrow brings

As the new year rings

Say goodbye to us all

A new chapter is before

Us so Don’t let me down…

You owe me nothing

Just as I owe nought

But it somehow feels

Like you’ve been bought

Is this real

What I sought

Or just a game

Of crosses and noughts

‘Twas fun

Drove to the sun

But where we landed

Rain and wind

Had pelted

Magic lost

Greed lustre has cost

The earth to find

No more sparks a bind

Light is fake

Nothing’s left to stake

Was a blast knowing

Your journey was over

Let us down gently

Good folks and gentry

It’s all now staged

There’s no rage

Just sadness left

Will cry tomorrow

As it will be the last

Nothing left to chance

At the devils section

Amongst the mix

You’ll find sunshine shades

Don’t forget to blow kisses and wave

Let me know

The care factor won’t show

Is buried in the snow

Deep into the crevices

Of your arteries I’ll flow

And charge you again in 10 years or so

A shell now

Of what I was once

a Joie de vivre

Happy innocent and gay

Clinging to the edge

Where is the hope

The wonder of life all but gone

Am sitting watching

robins flapping

Motor bikes rattling by

People walking and talking

What more can there be

Sirens are sounding out their distress calls

Fix up other’s mess

Feet aching

Head is breaking

Heart is broken

There was never a notion

Of things to come

Live apart but pray onto others

For Love to conquer all

What more you say

Say yes and give it all up

So we can be together

Under the stars and ether

Creating all the heat that’s needed

After that spark had seeded

The initial flame

No ones to blame

In the end

They are all the same

There it is done

No more number one

A life served for others

Tis such a bother

When will it be

The answer is me

Falling apart

Nothing left to start

Another chapter

Where I am the star

Of this movie called Life

Always in strife

I’m tired just let me be

Thank you

Who would’ve thought

While out and sought

A sign to save me

A sign of life

Under a farmer’s wide brim

There you were resting

Your tired blue eyes

Hair of shaggy grey

Shirt checkered and frayed

A slight wink and smile

Turned up corners

Only thoughts are sly

I get it. I know

You’re always around

Quicker than a ninja

You were out of here

But all my illusions

Love and contusions

Stirring up the next big thing

To focus on and sing

Seeking Out the truth

Be aware the devils advocate

Or she dwells amongst the activists

And copy cats will prove

Their unwavering trouvé

Of knowledge of you

See I told you blue

A union of convenience

Lacks all of magic

So tragic

Strength and truth

To create a unit

That promises

Family love and kindness

Or is it blindness

And selected hearing

Fearing the strength

Only comes from rearing it’s ugly head

Love for where is Ye

Uplifting and joyous unions

New beginnings and chapters ending

Promises of more yet one sided and bored

Tired and grey

Let’s pray for the end

Quicker than the grave

Our souls entwined no longer

No longer stronger

Began with the abuse of one man

You just stood there

I hate you for this

Where are you white knight

The storytellers promised us this

I hate you too

Sour and crude

I am now too

Dim the light

For I can’t sleep

Your presence is near

Hard to breathe

The light is grey

A shade of pearl

And oyster sensations

Light and iridescent

Craving some darkness

Away from your harkens

And larrikins

And loudness of white noise

We’re little toys

For you to play with

Pull our strings

Promise of things

Will be better

I believed you

White knight

But I prefer the shade of blue

Not just a hue

Is it you

Dim the light let’s see your truth

There doesn’t need to be anything said

No words to shed

A hole in the head

When lightly tread

On feelings bled

Emotions rear ugly head

So just be

In the now

On long white clouds

I heard your sound

The call of lost in the chaos

You came prayed on a hill

Answered your call

But now you know

When a private universe grows

So the balance is restored

It’s time for this rhyme

To end don’t fight it

Just right it

The rest will lead you on

To northern shores where you weren’t strong

Then the curse will be undone

It’s called karma you poetic son

And now it’s time

To end the rhyme

Life will be sublime

Birthday wishes to you

I always knew

you were a

November child

Full of grace

But mimic the wild

Are you stretched strained and blue

Did the fam celebrate it too ?

Well never fear it’s not midnight yet

Birthday wishes over states you’ll get

From me to you

May it be a wonderful day

The advocate

The voice for the one who cannot speak

The voice for the one who cannot see

The voice for the one who cannot read

The champion of the one who has no strength

But who holds the advocate up when his voice trembles

When his hands shake before he makes that call

The call to change it all

When he speaks for another’s soul

Once again I wear that hat

The advocates hat is heavy with thoughts

Of lives that will change when the morrow comes

And the muted will have a voice once more

Here have my voice, my strength and words

They are yours to change and do with what you will
