Forgive

I forgive you

But why should I care

When I have

Nothing left to spare

Nor would I even dare

You are leaving

With no remorse or despair

Are there words to change your mind

Or your cold stare

I’m broken up inside

Feeling pain I just can’t hide

In a moment you are gone

Just like this sad sad song

I’ll forgive you

If we give it one more try

I promise not to cry

And leave it there

Will you hold me

Say we will be fine

Words that will not rhyme

As you close the door behind you

One last time …..

I miss

I miss the sun dancing across my face

Kissing my eyes whilst standing a top a hill

I miss the ocean breeze caressing my hair

Whilst my toes are digging into the grains of sandy beaches

I miss the wind circling beneath my nostrils as the leaves of a thick wooded

Area release the perfumes of eucalyptus trees

I miss the fires built within bluestone circles

Omitting their heat to keep strangers warm

I miss sleeping beneath the stars with only the moonlight

To guide us in wooded areas amongst the tall trees

But most of all I miss thee

During this lockdown and unprecedented times we will slowly

Die.

I miss feeling alive…. đź’™

Time for a Change

But the change is here

New laws and boundaries

The change is near

Riots and destruction

Unfolding everywhere

Pickets and signs

Long unbrushed hair

Don’t look them in the eye

Please don’t you dare

They’ll hurt you command you

Kill you if you care

Nothing’s achieved by paying those men

To destroy others property

What now what then

I’m here to tell you

You’ll be found out I’m sure

The anger the hatred

The violence you lured

You cannot break LOVE

A little ditty for your tune

Here she goes again

Here she goes again oh oh oh

Falling swaying twirling oh oh oh oh

That sinking feeling oh oh oh oh

You’ve been there once before

You’ve been there once before

The pulling undertow

The pulling undertow

The crash and the burn

The crash and the burn

The nothing left to say

She’s left her body sways

The promises you made

The fabric as it frays

Just ashes on the floor

Go running for the door

Vacant eyes

Searching the room

The promises she made

A good thing she just blew

Here she goes again

Falling swaying twirling

That sinking feeling

You’ve been there once before

You’ve been there once before

Go running for the door

Go running for the door

Don’t want to

Don’t want to

Bleeding words forevermore

Don’t want to

Don’t want to

There

There she goes

Eyes roll back

The words she lacks

Just Say it

What shall I pen

On this whiteboard of life

The mistakes made or

The love of my life

The pain within

That tortures my soul

Deep in the black

Psychedelic hole

A conundrum of writings

Each a short story

I wish to not bore

Only excite you with flurry

Paint you a picture

Of colours and hues

Words to delight

Give you pleasure then blue

So why is the whiteboard

Still blank and snow white

Where is the rainbow

Cursive words to ignite

The pictures within you

To outstretch your hand

Reach for my fingers

Lift me up to your land

Of visions within you

Where my words will ring true

Resonate deep in

Your soul and heart through

But maybe I’m waiting

For you to go first

Words I will drink

With hunger and thirst

So this whiteboard remains

A blank masterpiece

Still waiting for you

Until then I will cease

Your you

I want to climb into your throat

Where the sound is

Where you gloat

I want to slide down your tube

To your lungs

Your heart your shoes

I want To get into your skin

Feel your sinews

Your bones your shins

I want to see through you

See your images

Your views your hues

But most of all

I want to be you

Your everything your genius you

So let me into your bubble

Your space your sky

Your vision your Hubble

No more planes trips to you

It’s time to extend me into your blue

I want to end this chain to you

This metal of hope

You’ve linked of glue

Time is but a blink of an eye

This awakening of hope

Was just a lie

The pain is you

Oh dreaded night

You are upon me

So quick you come

But linger on

No sleep for me

I count and bleed

From every wound

Internally doomed

Opened the chest

Below my breast

Your silver key

Was the master three

She’s gone

Your arms are holding her
As she lies lifeless and still
Looking down at her eyelids
Where moments before there was thrill
Red warm sticky substance
Spills from an open wound
Staining her silk scarf
Now totally ruined
Laughing and joking as you both
Leave the theatre
Was only two weeks ago
You promised eachother
To have and to hold
Until death do you part
Wiping the tears
As her spirit departs
You look up to see
the silver sedan
But through your anguish
A memory is harpin
An angry female driver
Is standing by her door
A flash of recognition
Like never before
Why did you leave me
For her she shrilled
You could’ve stopped this
I wouldn’t have killed
You look down at your love
A quote you remember
Hell hath no fury
You remember last September
The woman looking at you
Is thin and withdrawn
The woman you hold
Her glow is now gone
Her breast does not heave
Like once before
Blue and red lights
Flashing are now before
As you stand your head swims
A ball is forming in your gut
Now you heave
You scream at the lady
But no voice leaves
The uniformed men
Cuff her as she reefs
You want her dead
You run towards
A uniformed man stops
You wish you had a sword
Back to the body lying
On the ground
You shake and shudder
Suddenly a faraway sound
Wake up martin
You will be late
Jumping out of bed
Thanking God her fate
Is to still be alive and
Ever so beautiful
You kiss her good morning and
Move to the window
Look out at the sun
And slide open the glass
Outside is a silver car
Still and parked
